Abundance: The Universe Has No Limits

Yesterday was a very busy day for me as I had to do some last minute wrapping up of things around the house to ship out on the train today for my big move to NYC! Today is my last full day in Seattle, my flight leaves for NYC tomorrow afternoon!

Lately, I’ve really been opening myself to study the meaning of abundance. Throughout my personal experience, I have come to understand that abundance is a more than a physical manifestation—it’s a state of mind. Every day, I awaken a bit more to the truth that the universe is infinite, limitless! I never need to worry about not having my needs met, there’s more than enough for all of creation.

Last week, I entertained the thought of prosperity while affirming abundance in my life. I affirmed, “Money flows to me like a stream,” “My mailbox is a receptacle of abundance,” “I only receive love and abundance in the mail.” I contemplated abundance for a little while, and then went on about my business. Yesterday, I received a piece of mail from a doctor’s visit I had some months ago. The usual correspondence I received from them were bills, but guess what—this time it was a check! That’s right, they refunded me for my bill, which showed ‘paid’ on the statement. I had no health insurance at the time of that visit, and was anticipating being able to pay the full amount. It turns out that the bill was overpaid, so they sent me a refund for the difference! I’ve also received a beautiful card with sentiments from friends who care about me—not holiday themed either, just normal cards and gifts. I nearly jumped out of my chair.

When it comes to making a major life transition—it seems as though worrying is just routine. It seems only normal to worry about where I’ll live, the cost of living, finding my way around a new city, employment, meeting people, and many other details. Worrying seems normal because society tells us that it’s wise to have all the answers before you take a leap over the hedge. But, I beg to differ! In my opinion, there is nothing constructive, empowering, or uplifting about worrying. What you give your attention to increases, so worrying about my situation in New York actually has the power to create road blocks for me that wouldn’t have been there otherwise. I believe that our thoughts create our realities, so I choose to think of wonderful things—like thriving in NYC!

The modern world perpetuates competition in every area of life—it starts in elementary school, continues through adolescence, college, the job market, and everywhere else we turn. This gives most people the illusion that resources are limited...that only a few will ‘make it’ and the rest will be left without. That is false! The universe is infinite, and you are worthy of living in happiness.

Embrace abundance, it’s your birthright…
You name it, you claim it—and that’s the truth!

  1. Wow that was well said! What a way for one to interpret and influence their daily chain of events. This is such a profound subject that it may never be fully explained, but this is an excellent introduction to a different world within itself.
