Abundance: The Universe Has No Limits

Yesterday was a very busy day for me as I had to do some last minute wrapping up of things around the house to ship out on the train today for my big move to NYC! Today is my last full day in Seattle, my flight leaves for NYC tomorrow afternoon!

Lately, I’ve really been opening myself to study the meaning of abundance. Throughout my personal experience, I have come to understand that abundance is a more than a physical manifestation—it’s a state of mind. Every day, I awaken a bit more to the truth that the universe is infinite, limitless! I never need to worry about not having my needs met, there’s more than enough for all of creation.

Last week, I entertained the thought of prosperity while affirming abundance in my life. I affirmed, “Money flows to me like a stream,” “My mailbox is a receptacle of abundance,” “I only receive love and abundance in the mail.” I contemplated abundance for a little while, and then went on about my business. Yesterday, I received a piece of mail from a doctor’s visit I had some months ago. The usual correspondence I received from them were bills, but guess what—this time it was a check! That’s right, they refunded me for my bill, which showed ‘paid’ on the statement. I had no health insurance at the time of that visit, and was anticipating being able to pay the full amount. It turns out that the bill was overpaid, so they sent me a refund for the difference! I’ve also received a beautiful card with sentiments from friends who care about me—not holiday themed either, just normal cards and gifts. I nearly jumped out of my chair.

When it comes to making a major life transition—it seems as though worrying is just routine. It seems only normal to worry about where I’ll live, the cost of living, finding my way around a new city, employment, meeting people, and many other details. Worrying seems normal because society tells us that it’s wise to have all the answers before you take a leap over the hedge. But, I beg to differ! In my opinion, there is nothing constructive, empowering, or uplifting about worrying. What you give your attention to increases, so worrying about my situation in New York actually has the power to create road blocks for me that wouldn’t have been there otherwise. I believe that our thoughts create our realities, so I choose to think of wonderful things—like thriving in NYC!

The modern world perpetuates competition in every area of life—it starts in elementary school, continues through adolescence, college, the job market, and everywhere else we turn. This gives most people the illusion that resources are limited...that only a few will ‘make it’ and the rest will be left without. That is false! The universe is infinite, and you are worthy of living in happiness.

Embrace abundance, it’s your birthright…
You name it, you claim it—and that’s the truth!

Resonance

There are only 4 days left until me big move to NYC, and I am in a much fulfilled place spiritually! Yesterday, I worked on a collage as my method of meditation and going within as the energies of the dark moon carried me along. I ended up collaging two separate pages and really made a deep connection with what my subconscious mind was communicating. Today, I awoke with resonance on my mind. According to the Universal Law of Resonance, we attract situations and people in accordance with our vibrations. In other words, how we think and feel constantly creates our reality.

I used to be a cigarette smoker, and 9 out of 10 new people I met were also smokers. I didn’t have to be in a typical ‘smoking setting’ to meet them, and most of them weren’t even in the act of smoking when we first met—I couldn’t have known! I'd meet them in various cities as I was a flight attendant, various institutions such as the library, grocery store, etc. It seemed as if everyone was a smoker because that was the reality that I’d created for myself. I noticed once I quit smoking however, that I stopped meeting people who were smokers. Currently, I barely know anyone at all who smokes. All of those friendships slowly dissolved over time on their own, and have been replaced with people I now resonate with.

 Isn’t resonance a beautiful phenomenon?

Imagine your ideal life, your ideal self. Is your vibration in resonance with what you desire to be your reality? If not, you have the power to change that. If you want to live financially free, go ahead and lay claim to that reality in your mind first. Don’t worry about money, instead develop a “have” mentality and you will ‘have.’ If you want something, learn how to resonate with it—same goes if you want to let something go. If you’re in a toxic relationship and can’t seem to leave, raise your vibration and it will dissolve on its own!

Embrace your power as the co-creator of your own destiny!

12/13/12: The Dark Moon & Stillness

13 Rider-Waite Tarot (Major Arcana)

There are 5 days left until I leave Seattle for New York City for good, and I’m really feeling the energy of this transition beginning to stir. Today is the 13th and numerologically speaking the day of enlightenment, awareness, stillness and DEATH. Time is cyclic, and death marks the end of a cycle—signifying the coming of a new beginning. Ironically we are in the dark phase of the moon, a time for stillness and introspection while we await the return of the sun’s light. The dark moon appeared yesterday and will remain with us until tomorrow. Ever since I woke up yesterday, I have felt the need to slow down—to rest and meditate in the present moment. My usual routine however, keeps me fairly busy, and so I have resisted being present…unsuccessfully!

Today, I tried to start a new project that I’ve been thinking a lot about lately. I thought that I had all of my ideas in line to be executed, so why not! However, once I got started I began to feel mentally zapped. I experienced an immediate energy drainage similar to sleepiness—though I had 9 hours of restful sleep last night. “So, what’s going on?” I thought. I got up from my computer and jumped around a little bit to get my lymphatic system flowing. I received a small recharge of energy, but it only lasted for about 10 minutes. Then I became a bit frustrated because I really wanted to work on this project, but couldn’t seem to stay focused. I began to reflect on the day in an attempt to figure out what was going on with me…

"Aha! It’s the 13th and we’re right in the middle of the dark moon phase!  I am not supposed to be starting something new just yet! This is a time to go within and reflect, to rest, and to listen! That’s why the universe isn’t supplying me with the energy I need to take on a big project right now. I was so eager to get started that I mentally jumped into the future, leaving the present behind—big mistake!"

I learned a beautiful lesson today—to be present and pay attention to what’s happening it the world. Although the date and moon seem so abstract when compared to what’s going on in my daily life, I am directly affected by them. Energy moves constantly so it’s important to pay attention to the energy around me so that I can live each day in a way that will enable me to progress.

Yesterday morning, I remember contemplating all the things I have to do. I have so much on ‘my plate’ because I am moving across the country in 5 days, and I have many responsibilities. I was trying to figure out how to prioritize my thoughts and how to execute my ideas successfully with so much going on. To overcome the cloud of confusion that was beginning to form, I affirmed out loud, “Let There Be Light!”

I realize that today’s lesson is a ray of that light. The answer is to be still and be present right now. Spirit is telling me to ‘be’ not ‘do’ right now—that’s the answer. I invite you to go within and sit silently with yourself. Go into the dark, cosmic sleep that the moon reminds us of. There you will discover the light of truth inside that will guide you to positive new beginnings in your life. Die to the old to embrace the new!

12/12/12 – My 2012 Shift: Discovering the Light Within!

It’s 12/12/12 and the colorful energy of transformation is afoot! This is it—the last phase of the 2012 shift. So what’s all the buzz about anyway? What is this 2012 shift? Though I’m certain the world isn’t going to end—sorry to all the Armageddon enthusiasts out there—this cycle of life as we know it is coming to an end. But hey, no worries! This is actually good news because a new age is birthing itself into existence before our very eyes! What a blessing to experience rebirth and renewal. The 2012 shift is not a physical one, it’s a metaphysical one—a shift in our awareness. As with all changes, some will resist—choosing cling to their old habits and beliefs. Others will gladly welcome this opportunity to evolve their consciousness—to become self-aware!

My 2012 shift has come in waves—crashing upon every shore of my existence. I’ve grown so much spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally this year that when I look back at 2011, I barely recognize that person. In no other year of my life have I experienced this much personal development, being pushed to my limits to brave the ultimate challenges of my journey!

1.)    I have been tested in all of my relationships, but I practiced embodying love. I kept an open heart and love triumphed every time. I’m so much closer to my family, and have built such beautiful, inspiring friendships with people that I will have for the rest of my life!

2.)    I have been challenged physically—nearly faced death a few times without health insurance. My will to live grew stronger and stronger. By practicing spirituality daily and becoming a friend of nature I embodied healing. I know that no matter what happens I can heal myself, and I always have a friend in nature—especially the plant, animal, and mineral kingdoms!

3.)    I have been challenged emotionally—threats of depression and anxiety resulting from the ultimate betrayal by someone I was very closely connected to. By practicing awareness through compassion, I learned to separate people from their behavior so that I can love the person always—regardless of their behavior.

This year, like the goddess Inanna who sought to cultivate all aspects of herself, I took the lone journey into the dark underworld to face my shadow. As Winter Solstice approaches, we are reminded by the darkness to go deeply inward to examine ourselves—face those parts of ourselves which we fear and often try to hide. The sun will not return for a while, so in the dark we must find the light within ourselves, illuminating our path to self-awareness. All of my struggles this year have taught me more about my purpose, and given me a greater contribution for others. I’ve emerged victoriously bearing the light of truth.

That’s my 2012 shift! I am awake and open to embrace new possibilities in the coming age. I am exhilarated by the beauty of life, and ready to share my light with others.

So, how has the 2012 shift affected you?

Forgiveness

Today marks 7 days until my big move to NYC! 7 is the divine number, in it are hidden the great mysteries of the universe! Today, I was given a powerful lesson in the mystery of forgiveness. I learned that forgiveness is a process of letting go those things which no longer serve our highest good. It isn’t something we ‘give’ to someone else, but rather to ourselves for the sake of healing to encourage our soul’s evolution! So how do we attain a state of forgiveness? Well, I like to break it down into 4 steps: Projection, Mirroring, Recognition, and Letting Go!

1.       Projection

Our mission as spiritual beings expressed in human form is to develop a mature soul by gaining wisdom. Life is a journey that is filled with lessons that we learn by overcoming challenges that we create. One tool we use to create challenges is projection. We project issues out of our subconscious mind onto other people. This is so that we can confront those issues, overcome the challenges they present, and gain the spiritual wisdom necessary to progress as souls on an evolutionary journey to self-awareness.

2.       Mirroring

Mirroring occurs when people and circumstances reflect back to us what we’ve projected subconsciously. Mirrors are important because without them, we wouldn’t have a clear idea on what is undone within us. Mirrors show us parts of ourselves that are hidden and help us create a better plan for our lives. For example, you may be dealing with a coworker who is always negative, and comes to work complaining daily. Although you may be annoyed, this mirror is in your space because you have attracted it based on something in your subconscious mind. Perhaps you do not have enough gratitude so in the mirror (your coworker) you see a person who’s never satisfied, and now you know what to work on within yourself!

3.       Recognition

Recognition is when you identify your mirrors and acknowledge the truth in them. The worst thing you can do is enter a phase of denial—something I call ‘breaking the mirror.’ For example, quitting your job to get away from that negative coworker, or trying to transfer to another department. The problem with breaking the mirror is that another will just show up—you can’t run from the truth! If instead you choose to recognize the reflection of some part of yourself, and change for the better—that mirror will disappear!

4.       Letting Go

Finally the last phase of forgiveness is to let go of the projection! Now that you’ve recognized a piece of you that no longer serves you, you can release it from your life. To forgive means to ‘give forth,’ but you can’t give away what you don’t have, right? This is why people spend years in pain trying to forgive, unsuccessfully. The key is to recognize your projections in your mirrors and own them—only then can you let them go!

So, what do you need to forgive (give forth) today? Now that the year is ending, we are entering a new age—a new beginning. I invite you to take this opportunity to forgive yourself—break free of that which is holding you back, and live fully!

How You Said My Name

Only 8 days left until I leave for New York City!!! In numerology, 8 is the number of power, and today I embraced the power of my name—the vibration it carries. Yesterday, someone I know called me by my first name—they usually use a nickname for me. Hearing my name called by this person felt out of sync—like someone threw a bucket of ice-water on me! I actually felt somewhat offended—as if I were being called out of my name. I asked this person to stick to nicknames because I didn’t like the way they say my name, and they agreed. So what’s up with that? Like they say, isn’t a person’s name supposed to be the sweetest sound they could ever hear? Well, I have a few thoughts on that…

My name is Dominique, and its roots stem from France. The name Dominique has Catholic origins and means ‘lord,’ ‘master,’ ‘of the lord,’ ‘belonging to God,’ 'I am,' and ‘chosen by God.’ It is derived from Dominus, which means ‘Sunday’ or ‘day of worship.’ So, my name is very spiritual and carries a very high vibration—it also is a big part of who I am. I answer to “Dominique” because I identify with it, and I have always been a very spiritual person.

I love my name—I believe it is a beautiful utterance when it is spoken in the tonality of love! When someone is vibrating high with love, they speak with love. I can feel the warmth in the tones they utter. Today however, the person who I referred to was not vibrating in harmony with my name when they said it. Therefore, I felt that coldness when they called to me. I didn’t feel like I could identify with my name the way they said it because the vibration in their voice was not that of my true name. Remember, it’s not what you say, rather it’s how you say it! Two people can easily utter the same word, and both words will carry the intention of the speaker—that’s how it works.

In closing, the lesson today was that it is important that we speak from our hearts at all times. Also, it is imperative that we embody love so that the vibrations we emit nurture others. Words don’t have the power to create or destroy, but vibrations do! If you find yourself vibrating at a low frequency, be careful what you say to others until you raise your vibration again! If we check in with our feelings, we can be sure they’re in sync with our tones, and what we say—your listeners will know the truth, and most can spot BS from a mile away!

So, what will you create or destroy with your next utterance?

Love & Light,
Rainfaerie
